Testimonials
We asked advertisers what they thought about On The Bay.
ECHO TRENDS BENEFITS FROM ON THE BAY’S MUST-READ EDITORIAL QUALITY
Because there is so much relevant editorial in On The Bay, readers browse through the pages of this magazine time and time again, absorbing the content of the articles, the photos and the ads. Because On The Bay has established itself as a ‘must read’ throughout the region, each new issue builds on the overall readership of the magazine. This in turn increases the exposure to my ads and the advertising impact of my message.

EDITORIAL INTEGRITY IS IMPORTANT TO THE SHIPYARDS
We have been advertising frequently in On The Bay since the magazine began publishing in 2004, the same year that the awardwinning Shipyards launched its development to the public. For magazine advertising to be truly effective it must be in a magazine whose editorial content establishes integrity with its readers and assures a long reading life for the publication. On The Bay achieves just that. In addition, On The Bay readers represent the upscale demographic of our target audience and those who receive the magazine value the prestige of receiving On The Bay, creating a highly positive environment for our advertising message.

The Shipyards
POPULARITY OF MAGAZINE EARNS A STAMP OF APPROVAL FROM MEAFORD CHAMBER TO ADVERTISE
We have advertised in On The Bay as far back as I can remember. The tremendous popularity in our Chamber office and amongst our members was the stamp of approval that we should advertise. The focused distribution at the Village at Blue Mountain keeps us coming back. On The Bay certainly has some very well written, unique and diverse editorials…some of the best around.

ON THE BAY PROVIDES EXCELLENT VALUE AND IS A TOP CHOICE
FOR JEN AND MIKE SCHOLTE
We find excellent value in our On The Bay advertising. The publication quality, editorial content and the service we receive from the On The Bay staff make this publication a top choice for us. With print marketing and internet marketing pulling on our marketing dollar we feel that On The Bay delivers the direct results we are looking for in an advertiser. Thanks for working with us!

PROFESSIONALLY WRITTEN, BALANCED POINT OF VIEW IS CRUCIAL TO COLLINGWOOD HOSPITAL
The major difference between On The Bay and other local magazines is that the articles are professionally written by well-known journalists and authors. When I read any article, I want to know that it comes from a balanced point of view, not from someone who has a vested interest in promoting their own product. In addition, through a market research study, On The Bay has demonstrated that it reaches our target audience. We also looked at the ‘shelf life’ of the magazine. Anecdotal comments from our volunteers and staff led us to realize that the magazine stays in a prominent position in homes far longer than any other publication. In addition, the feature articles and beautiful photography encourage readers to peruse the entire magazine, ensuring that our hospital messages and appeals are read and absorbed.

LARGER SIZE MEANS MORE IMPACT FOR ADS, SAYS DEAN’S RUGLAND
Deans Carpet One chooses to advertise in On The Bay Magazine for the reason that it is much larger in format than other magazines. Not only does it stand out from the others, our half page ad has a much greater impact given the larger size of the advertisement. As well, the magazine’s distribution covers the entire Southern Georgian Bay region, ensuring it reaches our customers for both of our store locations in Duntroon and Meaford. As a final point, the magazine focuses on home renovations, interior design and provides its readers with many home decorating ideas and resources. Therefore, On The Bay is the ideal environment for advertising our high-quality flooring products and decorating services.
